We are prepared to invest early and help build a commercial proposition around a technology to attract additional investment needed to get to market. We don’t require revenues or a team which have built and exited businesses before. We do get excited about good science, but we need to understand how it will solve real world problems.

Building sustainable businesses

We will work with you to define the right strategic approach for growth and facilitate the introduction of the right resources, whether that is more money, experienced management and non-executives, mentoring or contacts.  The Fund’s investment staff have typically worked in senior positions in high growth businesses and understand the challenges.

To us risk is opportunity, we embrace it.  We focus heavily on the positive aspects of a business opportunity and work closely with entrepreneurs to address challenges and weakness.  As a direct result we have an outstanding track record of growing business that deliver strategic value at exit, for the benefit of all parties involved. In the last five years we have achieved 13 exits for value generating an average 6 times return on investment and since 2006 have seen supported become millionaires.

Long term funding partner

The Fund can continue  to support your business through multiple funding rounds – even when times are tough. We will work with you towards the achievement of critical value proof points that will enable you to raise further funding, if necessary, from third party investors at significantly improved valuations. To date, the companies we have invested in have successfully raised in excess of £180m from other equity providers alongside the significant investment we provide.
