Oliver Sexton Speaking at Innovation in Synthetic Biology (11 October)

On 11 October in London, Rainbow Seed Fund Investment Director Oliver Sexton will be speaking at the Innovation Forum’s Innovation in Synthetic Biology conference.

The event joins leading synthetic biology experts from academia and industry with entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers to review the current environment and explore future trends in the field. Oliver will speak on the Executive Panel with Dr. Stephen Chambers, CEO of Bio-Start competition partner SynbiCITE, and Professor Richard Kitney, OBE –  EPSRC National Centre for Synthetic Biology and Innovation. As the field of synthetic biology becomes more and more attractive to entrepreneurs, innovators and technologists, the panel will discuss the global trends and challenges when raising funding and how future innovations can mitigate risks and become more agile.

• Two of Rainbow’s portfolio companies will also be speaking at the synthetic biology event:  Synthace will speak on “Future Applications in Synthetic Biology” and Desktop Genetics will present within the “Startups Showcase.”
